Trainees are supported for twelve-month full-time appointments and have the ability to receive up to two years of support based upon acceptable progress during their initial year. Trainees receive a monthly stipend, tuition and fees assistance (predoctoral trainees only), a contribution towards health insurance and travel funds to attend the annual Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA) conference. Occasionally funds are available for training related expenses; however, typically this grant category is depleted by health insurance costs.
